Michael Aldag Releases New Song “superstar”
Liverpool-based singer-songwriter Michael Aldag released a new song “superstar” on January 8, 2026.
The song is the second single since the 2025 EP “Crying in the Club”, following “Hell” released last November.
Also, the track will appear on his upcoming sophomore album “The Carousel”, which is set to be released on March 26, 2026.
He wrote the song with producer Robin Stjernberg. The accompanying animated lyric video was directed by Keira Repp, who also created a lyric video for “Hell”.
Michael Aldag said of the song, “The really of chasing your dreams. Sometimes life is really shit. It is Sunday evening, and I am spiraling. I've spent the last hour going through my camera roll and looking at photos and videos from about two years ago when my life was cool. I was doing cool things. It was exciting. I felt like I was on the way to achieving my dreams. Now I don't feel like that. I feel lost I don't really know who I am. My kind of confidence has been knocked in a big way. And the only way that I can kind of make sense of that ironically is by putting it into a song. Because even though that's what put me in this place initially. It's also maybe the only thing that can get me out of it. I hope it's useful to some of you.”- He added, “Again shoutout to the absolute goat Keira Repp for making this incredible video. I had completely nothing to do with it apart from making the song. All praise to her.”
