Willa Ford Announces New Album “amanda”, Shares New Song “Love4Life”

American singer-songwriter Willa Ford has announced her upcoming sophomore album “amanda” will be released on March 6, 2026.
Alongside the album announcement, she released a new song “Love4Life” on January 9, 2026.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “Burn Burn” released last October.
She first performed the song on NBC's Today Show on January 9th.
It was written and produced by Gustav Erik Goran Afsahi, Jonathan Bluth, and Willa Ford.
The accompanying music video was directed by Scott King.
Willa Ford said of the song, “'Love4Life' is a song about finding someone who understands and acknowledges your worth. Someone who knows how to do hard things without giving up on love. We all deserve someone to be a person of their word. We should be the same in return and never settle for anything less!”- The new album “amanda” comprises 12 tracks, its title taken from her birth name.
It is her first album in 25 years, following 2001 album “Willa Was Here”.
She reconnected with her long-dormant musical passion after joining a longtime friend for a series of informal songwriting sessions in 2023.
It marks the first complete manifestation of her dynamic musicality and is both a bold rebirth and a brave reclaiming of a dream nearly destroyed.
Willa Ford said of the album, “After two decades of not releasing music, amanda feels like both a rebirth and a reclamation of a dream I almost lost. It started quietly in 2023, sitting down with a close friend for informal writing sessions, not knowing where it would lead. Somewhere in those moments, I reconnected with a part of myself I'd buried for a long time.”
She continued, “As I went deeper into the creative process, my body forced me to confront what my mind had avoided for a long time. I experienced my first PNES seizure, later discovering it was tied to unresolved trauma deeply connected to my past in the music industry. Writing songs opened a door I hadn't planned to unlock-but once it did, everything began to surface. In a strange way, the seizures brought clarity. They showed me I still had a lot of healing to do.” -
She added, “Working through that trauma changed how I approached music. I came back to it with more urgency, more honesty, and far less fear. Naming the album after my birth name felt essential. amanda became a kind of catharsis-a place where joy and pain could exist together. I didn't know what I was writing for at first, but I now see how deeply healing this record has been for me. This is the fullest expression of who I am musically.”
She said, “This album was never supposed to happen. In fact, I never thought I would return to music. Somehow through my trials, music found me and healed me when I didn't even know I was in need of healing. My hope is that if my music can bring love and healing to others, then I'll have done my job.”
