Konradsen Releases New Song “Efficiency” featuring Beharie
Norwegian musical duo Konradsen, consisting of Jenny Marie Sabel (vocals/piano) and Eirik Vildgren (multi-instrumentalist), joined forces with Norwegian singer-songwriter Beharie to release a new song “Efficiency” on January 9, 2026.
The song is the follow-up to “Nick of Time” featuring American singer-songwriter Gia Margaret, which was released last November.
Both songs will appear on their upcoming album, which is expected to be released later this year.
The duo will mark the beginning of this new chapter with a special show at Oslo's MUNCH Museum on April 10, 2026.
The track grew out of a request for something “slightly souly” in 6/8, written while the duo was also composing for a short film rooted in Jenny Marie Sabel's home village Storfjord.
It was inspired by jazz singer Solveig Slettahjell's version of 'Borrowed Time' by John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
The track features Martin Miguel Almagro Tonne on guitar, Erlend Vesteraas on bass, Ivar Myrset Asheim on drums, Runa Husøy on saxophone, Johanna Orellana on flute, Ellen-Martine Gismervik on cello, Hans Olav Settem on guitar, and Håkon Brunborg on pedal steel.- The duo said of the song, “'Efficiency' portrays a kind of love that isn't always immediate or all-consuming, but one that endures nonetheless - a relationship where time, patience, and a willingness to see the beauty in each other's imperfections are essential. It touches on a phase many people recognize: when the distance between two people can feel greater than before, yet the bond remains strong.”
