Hannah Schneider Premieres New Song “In This Room” on BBC Radio 6
Danish singer-songwriter Hannah Schneider premiered a new song “In This Room” on BBC Radio 6 Music New Music Fix.
The song is the title track of her upcoming fifth studio album which is set to be released on February 27, 2026 via Midnight Confessions.
On the track, Hannah Schneider worked with longtime collaborator and Danish composer Christian Balvig, blending introspection, poetry, and immersive production into a quietly powerful statement that asks the question, “If these walls could talk, what would they say?”
It was written by Christian Balvig, Hannah Schneider, and Peter-Clement Woetmann. Produced by Hannah Schneider and Christian Balvig.
Hannah Schneider said of the song, “I wrote it with brilliant Christian Balvig, and it features the magnificent Øyunn on drums and the fantastic Ned Ferm on saxophone. This track pretty much sums up the process of making this album... immense joy over creating music with inspiring people. Hope you like it as much as we did creating it!”- The new album comprises 10 tracks, co-produced by Hannah Schneider and Christian Balvig, featuring Danish indie rock band Efterklang frontman Caspar Clausen.
To create the album, she invited a number of musicians she admires to her residency at Thorvaldsens Museum in Copenhagen.
It is her first album in four years, following the 2022 album “Ocean Letters”. - source : BBC Radio 6
