Six Going On Seven Releases New Song “National Sin”

Boston-based indie rock band Six Going On Seven, consisting of Josh English (vocals/bass), James Bransford (guitar) and Will Bartlett (drums), will release their upcoming fourth studio album “Human Tears” this Friday (January 9th) via Spartan Records.
The album is their first full-length record in 25 years, their last being the 2001 album “American't (or Won't)”.
From the album, the band released a new song “National Sin” on January 2, 2026.
The song is the third and final pre-release single, following “King Tide” and “Jack Jones”.
It was written by James Bransford, Joshua English, and Will Bartlett. Produced by Six Going on Seven and Adam Taylor.
One of the emotional centerpieces of the album, the track provides a thematic throughline for the album as a whole, grappling with reflection, reckoning, and the blurred space between who we once were and who we've become.
The band said of the song, “A tribute to a significant love that honors the time shared while acknowledging the damage done. Never one sided. Never fully over. Never loving quite the same again.”- The new album comprises 11 tracks, produced by Six Going on Seven and Adam Taylor.
It marks a powerful continuation of their legacy, bridging the raw urgency of their early work with the deeper emotional resonance of a band that has lived an entire lifetime since their last release.
The band bassist Josh English said of the album, “This record came together organically. We didn't set out to recreate the past - we wanted to write from where we are now.” - source : Apple Music
