Cavetown Releases New Song “Sailboat” featuring chloe moriondo
British singer-songwriter Robin Skinner, aka Cavetown joined forces with American singer-songwriter chloe moriondo to release a new song “Sailboat” on January 2, 2026.
The song is the fifth single off of his upcoming album “Running With Scissors”, which is set to be released on January 16, 2026.
This marks their first collaboration in five years since the 2021 cover of American rock band Wheatus' “Teenage Dirtbag”.
The track was written by chloe moriondo and Robin Skinner. Produced by underscores.
Cavetown said of the song, “I'm so proud of this killer song I made with one of my best friends chloe moriondo. My band and I are suffering trying to learn it for the live set at the moment but its GOING TO RIP!! Thank you to my inspiration underscores for glittering this up - it was so awesome to work with you and see your ideas come together.”- The accompanying music video was directed by Zack Shorrosh and filmed at The Coney Island Boardwalk in Brooklyn.
Cavetown said of the video, “I sure hope you like this video. I think it turned out dope but I was so embarrassed literally lip syncing my song in public on the Coney Island Boardwalk. I couldn'ta done it without chloe being so fun and encouraging like she always is.” -
The new album “Running With Scissors” comprises 13 tracks, featuring a guest appearance from chloe moriondo, produced by Cavetown, Couros, David Pramik and underscores.
It is his first album in four years since the 2022 album “worm food”.
Cavetown said of the album, “I want them to enter this new era with me and not feel like it's for kids. Because I'm not a kid anymore. I want it to feel like we're moving forward together.”
