  • Winona Oak Releases New Song “Horses”

  • Swedish singer-songwriter Winona Oak released a new song “Horses” on January 2, 2026.

The song is the follow-up to “Do You Hate Me Now”, which was released last November.
Both songs will appear on her upcoming sophomore album (title TBC), which is expected to be released in 2026 via Nettwerk.
On “Horses”, she revisits childhood memories of riding, a time when she felt safe, free, and deeply connected to the natural world.
She co-wrote the track with close friend Shelby Benjamin, using horses as symbols of resilience and grounding. Produced by frogi (Shelby Benjamin).
The accompanying music video was created by Studio Förgätmigej.

Winona Oak said of the song, “Created together with my girl Shelby Benjamin.”
  • The new album is her first full-length in four years since the 2022 debut album “Island of the Sun”.
The album follow the 2025 EP “Salt”.
On the album, Winona Oak embraced live instrumentation and a more human sonic palette, working with collaborators Anton Engdahl, frogi, Martin Stilling, Teodor Runsiö, Frans Torell, and Tudor Davies.

Winona Oak said of the album, “Its world is more organic. This is what I've wanted to do for a long time.”
