UltraBomb Announces New Album “The Bridges That We Burn”, Shares New Song “Artificial Stars”
Minneapolis-based punk rock band UltraBomb, consisting of Ryan Smith (guitar/vocals), Derek O’Brien (drums/vocals) and Greg Norton (bass/vocals), has announced their upcoming third studio album “The Bridges That We Burn” will be released on April 3, 2026 via DC-Jam Records and Virgin Music Group.
The album is their first full-length in two years since the 2024 album “Dying To Smile”.
From the album, the band the lead single called “Artificial Stars” on January 2, 2026.
The song delivers their signature blend of urgency, melody, and grit, drawing on decades of lived punk experience while confronting themes of isolation, endurance, and the drive to keep reaching forward even in uncertain times.
It was written by Derek O'Brien, Greg Norton, and Ryan Smith. Produced by John Fields.
The band bassist Greg Norton said of the song, “Sitting in our bunkers, we only have artificial stars to look at. We are all scarred, but we keep reaching for those stars.”- The album comprises 11 tracks, which the band recorded with producer John Fields at Creation Audio in Minneapolis.
The band said of the album, “We recorded it in the same studio that New Day Rising was recorded in at Creation Audio, in Minneapolis MN, with John Fields at the helm. 11 songs in four days, with a bonus day to make a first pass at final mixes.
