SYML Drops New Live Video for “Lost Myself - Paris Unplugged”

Seattle-based singer-songwriter SYML dropped a new live video for “Lost Myself - Paris Unplugged” directed by Grant James on January 1, 2026.
The video was filmed at Le Consulat in Paris during his “The Nobody Lives Here Tour” on April 5, 2025.
He released a live album “Paris Unplugged” and a concert film of the same name last September.
The song, featuring British singer-songwriter Guy Garvey, was released in 2022 from his sophomore album “The Day My Father Died”.
At that time, SYML said of the song, “I’ve been a fan of Guy and Elbow since their album Cast of Thousands got stuck in my car’s CD player when I was in college. It would always come on glaringly loud whenever I started my car. I got to tell him this story when we were shooting the video for ‘Lost Myself’ and had a good laugh. Singing with Guy feels like having a good conversation over a pint. Familiar and warm.”- SYML said of “Paris Unplugged”, “I remember hearing (and watching) Nirvana's MTV Unplugged performance and feeling something new. The same for when I heard Bill Withers' or Nina Simone's or U2's live albums. Another level is reached. Familiar songs are decidedly committed to in a way that is different than a studio setting. Maybe it's because the songs have had a chance to live and breathe out in the world for months or years and have already changed for the artist and the listener since the first listen. Whatever the magic is, I feel lucky to have captured a bit of it with my friends in Paris.”
