  • Nick Jonas Announces New Album “Sunday Best”, Shares New Song “Gut Punch”

  • American singer-songwriter Nick Jonas has announced his upcoming fifth solo album “Sunday Best” will be released on February 6, 2026 via Republic Records.

The album is his first full-length record in five years since the 2021 album “Spaceman” and comprises 11 tracks.
The record draws inspiration from his musical roots and early years singing in church choirs, and explores his family life over the past two years.

Nick Jonas said of the album, “I'm so excited to share these new stories, candid thoughts, quiet walks home in the city, and snapshots of my life over these past few years. And while this album was made over the course of the last two years, it was truly 33 years in the making.”

From the album, he unveiled the first single called “Gut Punch” on January 1, 2026.
He first performed the song during the Jonas Brothers' 20th Anniversary Tour in Las Vegas in November 2025.
The track was written by Bianca 'Blush' Atterberry, Josette Maskin, Nick Jonas, and Ryan Daly, who also produced it.
  • Nick Jonas said of the song, “I wrote Gut Punch for all of us learning to give ourselves a little more grace.”
He continued, “Life comes at you, and sometimes it gets a little tough, and the way we speak to ourselves. I feel like we could all do a better job of just being nice to ourselves and to each other, frankly. and I don't know I've felt this way for a long time, and didn't really know how to say it, but teamed up with some great collaborators who helped me give these feelings a voice. I literally walked in and just said, 'I think my hair stopped growing.' And I love that these co writers were kind and thoughtful enough to hear me out as I spun out about the fact that I thought my hair was not growing. And it was actually a metaphor for the fact that maybe my growth was stunted as a person. We started this verse. I didn't know where to take us, but I think we all got to a place where we felt like we said something that we wanted to share with the world.”
