5 Seconds of Summer Drops New Music Video for “EVERYONE'S A STAR!”
Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer, consisting of Luke Hemmings (vocals/rhythm guitar), Michael Clifford (guitar), Calum Hood (bass) and Ashton Irwin (drums), dropped a new music video for “EVERYONE'S A STAR!” on December 31, 2025.
The video was directed by Ivy Tellin and filmed at Times Square in New York City.
The song is featured on their sixth studio album of the same name, which was released last month.
It was written by Steph Jones, Ashton Irwin, Calum Hood, John Ryan, Julian Bunetta, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, and Sierra Hemmings. Produced by Julian Bunetta and John Ryan.
5 Seconds of Summer said of the video, “EVERYONE’S A STAR! music video is finally yours. This was by far the most insane thing we’ve ever done. Thank you NYPD for not shutting us down (too early), and thanks to Times Square NYC for letting us perform and cause absolute mayhem. You all let us make art out of real-time pandemonium, and thank you for constantly showing up... We love you.”- The band drummer Ashton Irwin added, “Okay, here I go trying to narrate the craziest day of our career. We got a bus, big bus. We painted it pink, put the album name on the side of it. We rolled up. We met the director on the day on the corner of the street. We said we're gonna film this crazy music video, the craziest day in our career. We wanna create some pandemonium in New York City. Here we are on top of the bus, starring to film the video. We told all our fans to meet us. I forget where this was but it was absolute pandemonium. Look at us, there's us absolutely thriving. Reminding me the good old days but also these are the good old new days. Here we are showing up in Times Square. Thousands of you came to hold it down for the old 5sos. We love you so much for that. It was the most beautiful day of our career. Thank you guys.”
