Doechii Releases New Song “girl, get up.” featuring SZA

American rapper Doechii teamed up with American singer-songwriter SZA to release a new song “girl, get up.” on December 30, 2025.
This marks their first collaboration in three years since the 2022 remix of “Persuasive”, which is featured on Doechii's second EP “She / Her / Black Bitch”.
It is the final song in Doechii's Swamp Sessions series, following “Nissan Altima”, “Bullfrog”, and “Catfish”.
The track samples American rapper Birdman's 2002 song “What Happened to That Boy” featuring Clipse.
On the track, Doechii teased her upcoming album.
It was written by Doechii, SZA, Jay Versace, DIXSON, Chad Hugo, Malice, Pusha T, Pharrell Williams and Birdman. Produced by Jay Versace.
The accompanying music video was directed by James Mackel.- Doechii was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Music Video for “Anxiety” at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
While “Anxiety” was originally released in 2019, it went viral on TikTok earlier this year and was reissued on March 4, 2025.
