WRABEL Releases Two New Songs “shape of my heart” & “sugar”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter WRABEL released two new songs “shape of my heart” and “sugar” on December 26, 2025.
The songs were taken from his upcoming third studio album “up above”, which is set to be released on February 13, 2026 via Big Gay Records and Nettwerk.
He has released five songs “up above”, “surrender”, “future”, “greener”, and “garden” from the album so far.
The album is his first full-length in three years since the 2023 album “Based on a True Story” and comprises 12 tracks.
Two songs were written and produced by WRABEL, with production tin by Austin Ward.
WRABEL said of the songs, “I wrote these two on my living room floor. Sometimes for me, things come as they come and I have a hard time even thinking about it any other way - shape came out as it is, in many ways, it was born out of the fx. It came out of me from wherever things come from thru a hypemic direct USBc into my laptop screen in the shape of a blue squiggly line. Pardon the cliche, but to me the vocal is evidence of the lyric. How love can change you. How love has the power to alter. To change course, change heart, change meaning, change purpose.”- He continued, “And sugar wow. Getting to sit with Austin in his beautiful studio and see and hear and feel in realtime that song grow and blossom and bloom into its fullest form was one of the most beautiful experiences of the record. I don't know that I've ever felt so aligned with someone on what a song * is *. and I feel that and hear that every time I listen to it.”
He added, “So yes, again, as I've said with every release so far - thank you so so very much to the absolute guru Austin Ward who coproduced these two with me, the sound scientist Damian Taylor for additional prod and mixing and the master of mastering Emily Lazar.” -
