Your Smith Releases Duet Version of “Mr. Revival” featuring Michael McDonald
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Your Smith teamed up with American singer-songwriter Michael McDonald to release a duet version of “Mr. Revival” on December 12, 2025.
This marks the first collaboration between Your Smith and Michael McDonald.
The original version of the song is featured on her debut album “The Rub” as Your Smith, which was released in September 2025.
It was written by Benjamin Harris Berger, Caroline Smith, Ryan David Vincent Mcmahon, and Ryan Rabin. Produced by Captain Cuts and Jake Luppen.
Your Smith said of the song, “It's always important to me that I give back to my artist community by helping out the smaller more up-and-coming artists. It was very gratifying to being able to help out Mike McDonald in his budding career - I think the world is ready for his sound.”- She continued, ”Almost a year ago, I somehow stumbled upon the audacity to ask Michael McDonald if he'd lay down some vocals for me on a song. I sent him Mr. Revival. Fast forward a few months later and I am in the studio with my all-time hero working out background vocals in person.”
