  • Good Charlotte Drops New Music Visualizer for Cover of The Pogues' “Fairytale Of New York”

  • American rock band Good Charlotte, consisting of Joel Madden (vocals), Benji Madden (guitar/vocals), Paul Thomas (bass) and Billy Martin (guitar/keyboards), dropped a new music visualizer for a cover of London-based Celtic-punk band The Pogues' “Fairytale Of New York” on December 25, 2025.

The song was released last month as their Christmas song.
The original version of the song was released by The Pogues as a duet ballad with British singer-songwriter Kirsty MacColl in 1987.
In the UK, “Fairytale Of New York” is the most-played Christmas song of the 21st century.
It was written by Jem Finer and Shane MacGowan.
The video was directed by Devin Desouza, featuring Devin Desouza and Renee Bellerive.
  • The band said of the song, “This has always been one of our favorite Christmas songs of all time! What a classic story - We have always wanted to do our own little version of it with our friends and family for years to come. We love Christmas and the holidays, so it was really fun to make another Christmas song to add to our favorite Christmas playlist - happy holidays from GC to you and yours!”
