Immaterialize Releases New Song “Evolution”

Chicago-based dream pop duo Immaterialize, consisting of Alana Schachtel (Lipsticism) and Erik Fure (DJ Immaterial), will release their upcoming debut album “Perfect” on January 23, 2026 via Angel Tapes.
From the album, the duo released a new song “Evolution” on December 15, 2025.
The song is the fourth single off, following “Cheesecake Factory”, “Will You Stay With Me”, and “It's A Vision”.
The track sketch melodic and hazy memories of love, loss, and longing.
It was written by Alana Schachtel and Erik Fure.
The duo said of the song, “'Evolution' is inspired by looking at a part of yourself that's mean (ugly), but recognising that's not all there is and that there are also tendencies towards altruism (but also greed). Not wanting to spend too much time in a space of wishing you were an entirely different person. Accepting the full spectrum of emotion within oneself.”- The new album comprises 9 tracks and has been over a decade in the making.
On the album, they handled the writing and recording themselves, moving away from traditional band structures and instead leaning into the strength of the duo alongside a few key collaborators.
The duo recorded at their home. Vocal mixed by Michael Mac at bim bom studios. Mastered by Angel Marcloid at Angel Hair Audio LLC. -
