SIENNA SPIRO Performs “Die On This Hill” & Cover of sombr's “back to friends” on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge
London-based singer-songwriter SIENNA SPIRO appeared on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge to perform “Die On This Hill” and a cover of American singer-songwriter sombr's “back to friends”.
This marks her first appearance on Live Lounge. She said, “My first live lounge. Always been a dream of mine. Thank you so much BBC Radio 1.”
“Die On This Hill” was released back in October and became her first Top 10 single on the UK Singles Chart.
It was written by Omer Fedi. Michael Pollack, and SIENNA SPIRO. Produced by Omer Fedi, Michael Pollack, and Blake Slatkin.
SIENNA SPIRO said of the song, “This is a song is about a lifetime of sticking around for people who quite frankly don't give a fuck. It's about the paradox of devotion - and how we stay attached to those who stopped seeing us long ago just to prove we were more than just visitors in their lives. It's about believing in people long after there's reason to, and the overwhelming need to belong, even when it kills you to.”- “back to friends” was released by sombr as the lead single from his debut album “Barely Know Her” in 2024.
The song marked his first and highest-charting entry on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 10.
He won Best Alternative Video with “back to friends” at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.
