Morgan Myles Covers America's “Sister Golden Hair”

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Morgan Myles released a cover of British-American rock band America's “Sister Golden Hair” on December 12, 2025.
She reimagined the song in two versions, including an a cappella version.
The original version of the song was released by America from their fifth studio album “Hearts” in 1975.
It was their second single to reach number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, following “A Horse with No Name”.
The track was written by Gerry Beckley. The cover version was produced by Kirk Pasich and Denny Fongheiser.
Morgan Myles said of the song, “'Sister Golden Hair' is fifty years old but I never get sick of hearing it. It's such a beautifully crafted song, I put a little bit of a different spin on it.”- She added, “This year marked the 50th anniversary of 'Sister Golden Hair' by the Band America and we did TWO reimagined versions of this huge hit! It was truly a honor to have the legendary Gerry Beckley (who wrote this song) give his stamp of approval… also I got to live out a true Glee moment and sing a version with RESONANCE who are an amazing Acapella group from UCLA! Thank you to Kirk Pasich and Denny Fongheiser for having me be a part of this project!”

America lead singer Gerry Beckley said, “I'm both excited and honored listening to Morgan Myles versions of my song Sister Golden Hair. Although quite different from each other they both hold firmly to my original inspiration for the song. Helmed by strong production from Kirk Pasich along with Debby Fongheiser the song has never sounded better. Sending out my congrats to Morgan and the whole team at Blue Elan.” - source : Apple Music
