Freyr Returns With New Song “New Man”
Swedish-Icelandic singer-songwriter Freyr returned with a new song “New Man” on December 12, 2025.
The song is his first music in two years since the 2023 album “Night and Day”.
Also, the track is the first single off of his upcoming EP of the same name, which is set to be released on July 10, 2026.
The new EP comprises 6 tracks. It is a project about growth, renewal, and the courage to change, full of emotional honesty, melodic clarity, and a sense of quiet strength.
The song balances quiet reflection with a sense of forward motion that is gentle yet resolute, rooted in the belief that real change starts from within.
He explains that the song became a deeply cathartic moment, a declaration of renewal and the courage it takes to rebuild oneself with honesty and compassion.
He recorded the song at Farkosten Music Recording Studio in Altea, Spain.
It was written by Freyr Flodgren. Produced by Mattias Eklund and Peder Andersson.- Freyr said of the song, “There was a time when I couldn't stand the person I'd become. I was filled with regret for the people I'd hurt and exhausted by my own excuses. 'New Man' is me drawing a line and saying: this ends here. I wanted to start again, from the inside, and become someone I could respect, someone the people I love could trust again.”
