Katelyn Tarver Releases New Song “The Price”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Katelyn Tarver released a new song “The Price” on December 12, 2025.
The song will appear on her upcoming third studio album, which is expected to be released in Spring 2026 via Nettwerk.
She co-wrote the song with American singer-songwriter Sasha Alex Sloan and producer King Henry.
The accompanying music video was directed by Nathan Presley.
Katelyn Tarver said of the song, “The Price captures the raw ache of post-breakup life, where weekends become the hardest days and familiar landmarks turn into bittersweet reminders. It’s about the lonely nights, the struggle to trust again, and piecing yourself back together after loving someone so fiercely that the loss reshapes your world.”- She added, “Got to write this with one of my songwriting heroes Sasha Alex Sloan and King Henry in the spring of last year. It’s about the confusing, disorienting early months post split where I was walking around in a brand new life that I didn’t quite fit into yet. Realizing that I didn’t just lose this person I had spent over a decade of my life with, I lost the weekend routines, the group of friends we hung out with, the landmarks that once held happy memories now just made me cry... I was clumsily trying to piece my life back together while knowing he was a mile down the road doing the same thing.”
