  • KennyHoopla Drops New Music Video for “birthday card//”

  • American indie-rock singer-songwriter KennyHoopla dropped a new music video for “birthday card//” on December 11, 2025.

The video was directed by KennyHoopla and GODSAVETHEQUEENBEE and filmed in Wisconsin.
The song is featured on the deluxe edition of his EP “conditions of an orphan//”, which was released earlier this month.
It was written and produced by Jonah Summerfield and Kenneth La'ron.

KennyHoopla said of the video, “The video represents a postcard and matches the spontaneity of the song.”
  • The deluxe edition of “conditions of an orphan//” comprises 8 tracks, including the original 5 songs and three new songs. Produced by Brad Hale, Jonah Summerfield, JT Daly, KC Rae, KennyHoopla, marvy ayy, Mike Elizondo and Zac Farro.

KennyHoopla said of the deluxe edition, “These were some vaulted songs from my time at Arista/mogul vision records. I made these songs around the last SG uk tour maybe 3-4 years ago - more is coming and I'm working on getting that out as soon as possible for you all as well. I did what I could to clean these up as they were demos that I thought would never even see the light of day but they have ended up being some of my favorites.”

He continued, “I'll keep it real - I will probably not see any money from these songs personally until I'm very old or ever. I and alot of others fought hard to get these songs released. I hope you enjoy! So let this be a time stamp of the last time I look at the past and an ode of my dedication to the fans.”
  • The standard edition of the EP was released back in September. It is his first project in four years since the 2021 mixtape “SURVIVORS GUILT: THE MIXTAPE//”

KennyHoopla said of the EP, “This EP was about acknowledging trauma and where I am at 'right now' as opposed to my whole life story. I think it's one big funeral after-party. It touches on the death of friendships, family, vices, and the piece of me this industry took away—it's a stream of consciousness of all of that, all while I try and find a way to dance through it. Most importantly, though, this EP is just as much for the listeners as it was for me while creating it. I want people to feel like they are in love for the first time again, I want people to dance while they cry, I want them to feel the way I do when I listen to my favorite artists.”

He continued, “A lot of the time, I just feel very alone, like an orphan. I'm just trying to find a home, literally and metaphorically—as a person, and as someone in the music industry. I'm trying to see where I fit in, given the circumstances of life that everyone has to go through.”

He added, “I've spent the last three years of my life reflecting on my career in the industry. I've previously restrained myself from talking about deeper issues in my life—trying to compartmentalize my experiences. It's a constant tug of war between my personal and artistic lives.”
