Joybomb Releases New Song “Everything is Drugs”

Memphis-based alt-rock band Joybomb, consisting of Luki Luvsik (guitar), Grant Beatty (vocals/guitar), Conner Booth (vocals/bass) and Xander Sinclair (drums), released a new song “Everything is Drugs” on December 11, 2025.
The song follows the candid take on interpersonal relationships that was “Stigmata Palms” and “I, Paparazzi”. It takes a bad trip into the American penchant for insatiability.
The song is accompanied by an animated music video directed by Quinton Hickman.
It was written by Alexander Sinclair, Luki Healy, Preston Beatty, and William Conner Booth. Produced by Matt Qualls.
The band frontman Conner Booth said of the song, “God, guns, & country—drugs. Social confirmation bias, rage-baiting, MAGA, and those hearts on your Instagram story? All intoxicants. Our attention spans are whittled down to brief moments marked by dopamine pursuit and re-uptake as we chase tailor-made highs. And everyone's in line for the goods.”- The video was created entirely with a flatbed scanner, using everyday objects and photos of household spaces as stand-ins for the song's themes.
Director Quinton Hickman said of the video, "Some scans were carefully staged, while others were left to the scanner's natural glitches. That mix of control and distortion produced the warped, jittery look throughout the piece. As objects were scanned again and again, they stretched and broke apart-the repetitive process mirroring the addictive cycles at the core of the song.” -
