Sylvaner Releases Debut Song “Pentimento”
American singer-songwriter Sylvaner released his debut song “Pentimento” on December 3, 2025.
Engineered, produced, written, and mixed by Sylvaner, the song is the result of complete creative immersion.
He recorded himself and his guitarist in total privacy, then spent weeks sifting through a flood of ideas, refining the track through more than 60 mixes until it finally captured the balance he wanted.
The concept came together during a period of personal upheaval. Drawn to the idea of old layers resurfacing beneath the surface, he threaded the meaning into the heartbreak he’d recently lived through.
Sylvaner said of the song, “I had a dictionary app that would show me a new word every day, and one day I happened to see ‘Pentimento'.”- He continued, “A pentimento is a real specific word for when an artist paints over an existing piece, and over time or with wear the original piece starts to reveal itself again. I ended up taking that in a self-reflective kind of way and thought about how I've gone through negative spaces or shifts and changes and always come back to being myself. So with some personal experience involved, this record means a great deal to me for sure.”

Las Vegas born and raised Sylvaner grew up surrounded by an eclectic musical world.
He said, “Sharing a good song has always been a huge form of communication for me.”
Three years ago, while pursuing full-time studio engineering, he began experimenting daily between the studio and his bedroom, gradually shaping the ideas that would spark his debut project. - source : Apple Music
