  • Courtney Marie Andrews Releases New Song “Little Picture of a Butterfly”

  • Nashville-based singer-songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews will release her upcoming ninth studio album “Valentine” on January 16, 2026.

It is her first album in four years since the 2022 album “Loose Future”.
From the album, she released a new song “Little Picture of a Butterfly” on December 5, 2025.
The song is the third and final pre-release single, following “Keeper” and “Cons and Clowns”.
The track forges defiance from the helplessness of what can't be controlled.
It was written and produced by Courtney Marie Andrews, with production by Jerry Bernhardt.
The track is accompanied by a studio live video, which was filmed by Rett Rogers, featuring Jerry Bernhardt on synthesizer, Jess Nolan on wurlitzer, Taylor Zachry on bass, and David Scalia on drums.
  • Courtney Marie Andrews said of the song, “After being stood up, this song fell out of me in a fit of heartbreak. Musically, I wanted the beginning of the song to sound like the whimsical, dreamy, and helplessly meek feeling of limerence, and feeling like you need a response in order to be kicked into action. Once it's stated that limerence can create illusions of fantasy or 'make believe,' we're kicked into action, kicked into waking up, kicked into our power. The band kicks in, and I'm empowered.”

  • The new album comprises 10 tracks, which Courtney Marie Andrews recorded with co-roducer Jerry Bernhardt at Valentine Recording Studios in Los Angeles.

She said of the album, “Recorded last summer at Valentine Studios in Los Angeles in a mere ten days, we put our literal blood, sweat, and tears into these recordings. We recorded to a 16-track tape machine with a performance mindset. This record is a collection born out of limerence- a plea for love. Valentines are surface level. Turns out love is a lot more than a box of chocolates. I have learned this lesson over and over throughout my life and work.”
