Charlotte Day Wilson Releases New Song “High Road”
Last month, Canadian contemporary R&B singer-songwriter Charlotte Day Wilson returned with the single “Selfish”.
It is her first solo release in a year and eight months, following her 2024 album “Cyan Blue”.
She said of the song, “Selfish is one of those songs that came together effortlessly. About 3 hours all together, just pure collaborative ease between myself, Saya Gray, Ace G & Braden Sauder. Saya was sitting at the piano playing some chords and instantly I knew where the song was heading. It was one of those moments we dream of as songwriters where there are no questions just answers.”
Following the song, she released a new song “High Road” on December 3, 2025.
The track is a jazzy midtempo piece, blending alt-soul with jazz-adjacent freedoms, unlike the previous song.
It was written and produced by Charlotte Day Wilson.- Charlotte Day Wilson said of the song, “Sometimes you write something that just feels so true to your soul and this is one of those. Hope you all feel it too.”
