  • MIKA Announces New Album “Hyperlove”, Shares New Song “Immortal Love”

  • British singer-songwriter MIKA has announced his upcoming seventh studio album “Hyperlove” will be released on January 23, 2026.

It marks his first album in three years since the 2023 album “Que ta tête fleurisse toujours”.
From the album, he unveiled a new song “Immortal Love” on December 5, 2025.
The song is the second single off, following his October release “Modern Times”.
The track was inspired in part by a constant companion in his creative life, his beloved 15-year-old golden retriever, Melachi.
It was written and produced by MIKA, with production by Nick Littlemore.

MIKA said of the song, “Do you all know who this song is about? Do you know who this song is about? You don't. This song is about my dog, Melachi. I decided I wanted to write one song for my dog, and it's this. 16 years by my side and still perfect. It was about time she had her own song.”
  • The new album comprises 16 tracks, which MIKA worked with Australian electronic music duo Empire of the Sun's Nick Littlemore in Los Angeles, New York, Vienna, Italy, and London.

MIKA said of the album, “This is two years worth of writing, mostly, almost 95% of it at the piano alone. And then it's this music went on this extraordinary journey. And it was completely by accident, but Nick Littlemore, who from Empire of the Sun, who I had previously worked with on 'Origin of love', heard these demos, and he decided that he was going to get his hands dirty and jump straight into making the record and producing it. And then he transformed these songs. I had one intention. I made a promise to myself that I would make an album that screamed freedom. That was artistically brave.”
