Nick & June Releases New Song “You Are the Voice That's Hunting My Soul for a Show”

Berlin-based indie pop duo Nick & June, consisting of Nick Wolf and Suzie-Lou Kraft, will release their new album “New Year's Face” this Friday (December 5th).
From the album, the duo released a new song “You Are the Voice That's Hunting My Soul for a Show” on December 1, 2025.
The song is the seventh and final pre-release single.
It was written by Henrik Wattenbach, Nick Wolf, and Suzie-Lou Kraft. Produced by Peter Katis.
Suzie-Lou Kraft said of the song, “The era of long song titles might be behind us, but for some reason, 'You Are the Voice That's Hunting My Soul for a Show' just felt like it needed to exist. This song explores an ongoing battle between light and dark, right and wrong, and the internal conflicts we all face. 'We are the bright and the dark.' It's about how no one is purely good or purely bad. We all have both sides within us. It's not about choosing one over the other, but about accepting both and learning how to live with that duality.”- She continued, “'You Are the Voice…' encapsulates a lot of what this record is about: energy, introspection, the push and pull between different forces. It showcases a lot of the complexity and contradictions we've been exploring in the music. New Year's Face is about accepting all parts of ourselves-both the light and the dark-and finding peace with both.”
She added, “Sometimes we sit on a song for a long time, and this was one of those cases. We spent a lot of time talking about the theme, exchanging opinions, debating words, trying out melodies-the awkward title stayed, but not much from the original sketch. Here, the arpeggio makes an appearance again, playfully weaving in some of the thought structures that run throughout the entire album.” -
The new album comprises 10 tracks, which the duo recorded with producer Peter Katis in Bridgeport, Connecticut, featuring collaborations with The Antlers, Owen Pallett, and Russian Red.
It is their first project in two years since the 2023 EP “Beach Baby, Baby”.
The songs on this album are essays on love, loss, time and self-discovery.
