The Band CAMINO Releases New Song “Afterthought”
Nashville-based pop-rock band The Band CAMINO, consisting of Jeffery Jordan (vocals/guitar), Spencer Stewart (vocals/guitar) and Garrison Burgess (drums/bass), released a new song “Afterthought” on December 3, 2025.
The song is the follow-up to “12:34”, which was released back in October.
The band teased the song on TikTok in 2022. They first performed it during The NeverAlways Tour in October 2025. It took 3.5 years to make the song.
The track was produced by Jordan Schmidt and Garrison Burgess. The accompanying music video was directed by Slater Goodson and filmed at The Pinnacle in Nashville on November 22, 2025.
The band said of the song, “When we posted a video of us writing the afterthought chorus in 2022 we had no idea the journey this song was going to take us on. We've never gotten a ton of views on Tik Tok but for some reason that video just stuck around. But with the attempt to actually finish and release it 3 years later came a certain pressure that it wouldn't live up to the hype...might sound silly but kinda felt like a finished version just wouldn't live up to the idea of it in people's heads after all this time.”- They continued, “Plus giving you guys the song would mean the bit would be over. Truthfully finishing this song really stumped us - there have been 10+ different versions each with different verses / chorus melody changes. (we had to tweak the original chorus melody slightly bc we were right on top of another song/melody - sorry Russell Dickerson) Regardless we tired our best to capture whatever magic was in that original clip. Hopefully we did it justice.”
