Plain Mister Smith Releases New Song “Andy Warhol” featuring Leeroy Stagger

Vancouver and London-based singer-songwriter Mark Jowett, aka Plain Mister Smith released a new song “Andy Warhol” on December 2, 2025.
Mark Jowett is known as the former guitarist of the Canadian electronic band Moev. He is also a cellist for the Vancouver Philharmonic Orchestra.
On the track, he teamed up with Canadian singer-songwriter Leeroy Stagger.
The song is the third single off of his upcoming sophomore album, which is expected to be released in Spring 2026 via Amelia Recordings and Symphonic.
The album is his first body of work in four years since the 2022 debut album “I'm Just Plain Mister Smith”.
“Andy Warhol” sees Plain Mister Smith veering into rockier territory while retaining the spirit of his idiosyncratic style.
It was written and produced by Mark Jowett.- Plain Mister Smith said of the song, “I met Andy Warhol many years ago at the New Music Seminar in New York. He was pretty chill and serene or seemed that way. He was quoted to have said 'So What this, So What that'? which is about the most Zen thing you could ever say. 'Andy Warhol' the song, is about trying to be super Soto Zen, trying to be cool and so nothing phases you but really, you're just a chaotic mess of a human, no matter what you do....”
