Jasmine Jethwa Releases New Song “Ladybird”
Last month, South London-based singer-songwriter Jasmine Jethwa returned with her new single “If You Don't Know”, her first release since the 2024 EP “Love Worth Believing” and her first new music in over a year.
Following the song, she released a new song “Ladybird” on November 27, 2025.
The song is the accompanied by the Ned Botwood-directed music visualiser.
It was written by Jasmine Jethwa, Jez Ashurst, and Rachel Clare Furner. Produced by Josh Scarbrow.
Jasmine Jethwa said of the song, “Ladybirds are often seen as omens of good luck, and signs that love is on its way. This song was a calling out to ask for a sign that something was meant for me, asking the cosmos for help, for it to communicate with me. Listen to it, smile to it, cry to it, dance to it, be free with it.”- She added, “The first release from the songs we wrote in Wickersley, Yorkshire with all my favourite people, written by me, Jez Ashurst, Rachel Furner, Emma Rohan, Bradford Ellis and produced by Josh Scarbrow. This song is a very close one for me, calling out for signs and angels when I really needed them.”
