South Arcade Premieres New Song “Blood Run Warm” on BBC Radio 1

British pop rock band South Arcade, consisting of Harmony Cavelle (vocals), Harry Winks (guitar), Ollie Green (bass), and Cody Jones(drums), premiered a new song “Blood Run Warm” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is the fourth and final pre-release single from their upcoming EP “PLAY!”, which is out this Friday (November 27th).
It was written by Cody Leigh, Harmony Scott-Russell, Harry Winks, and Ollie Green. Produced by Harry Winks.
The band lead singer Harmony Cavelle told Jack Saunders about the song, “I think everyone expects when we draft the song, for it to be just a loud racket or super high. We love like, high energy stuff, because that's what we like at the shows and stuff. And we were like, damn, maybe we do need to give, like, people that, like, two minutes just to recharge. Have a little think. And just like, show another side, like, bit more of like, maybe, if it's even like songwriting, bit more of like, any happy we have, like, the My Chemical Romance ballad type track. That's the vibe. Everyone sort of seems to think it is.”- She continued, “I think it's like, we've always dabbled or songs that aren't out. We've sometimes had, like, softer songs in the set. Like, may have never seen the light of day, but we've definitely dabbled in it. But I never think we thought that we hit like the nail on the head. And I think now, once doing all these other songs and sort of getting in this, like, sort of influence sphere thing we're existing in. Let's write a song that would suit like 2000s rom-com in the rain.”
The new EP comprises 5 tracks, featuring a guest appearance from Bilmuri, produced by Harry Winks.
It is their first project in almost a year since the 2024 EP “2005”. -
