Artio Premieres New Song “Seven Suns” featuring kahal on BBC Radio 1
Leeds-based alt-rock band Artio, consisting of Rae Brazill (vocals), Ieuan Jones (drums), Robert Arkle (guitar) and Jai Akhurst (guitar), premiered a new song on BBC Introducing Rock with Alyx Holcombe.
On the track, the band teamed up with Bradford-based singer-songwriter kahal.
The song is the third and final pre-release single from their upcoming sophomore album “Soul Rot”, following “The Devil You Know” featuring Cody Frost and “Let It Be A Void”.
The album is set to be released on January 21, 2026.
The track was written by Jai Indigo Akhurst, Rae Charlie Brazill, Robert Arkle, and Ieuan Jones, who also produced it.
The accompanying music video was directed by the band lead singer Rae Brazill.
Rae Brazill described the song as “the last stand between me and the chemically imbalanced misery of my brain. I will no longer be consumed by my own mind anymore, I choose purposeful happiness and I’m telling you all so I hold myself to it.”- The new album comprises 14 tracks, featuring guest appearances from Cody Frost, As It Is, CJ of Love Rarely, Kahal, and goodnighttheskye.
It is their first album in two year since the 2014 debut album “Babyface”.
Rae Brazill said of the album, “This is the first record I’ve done where I look inwards rather than out, dissecting my own behaviour and how I perceive the world in its liminal state of ending.”
She added, “This album has been our whole lives for the last 2 years, and we’re so excited for it to be a part of yours.” -
