  • Calling All Captains Releases New Song “Blood for Blood”

  • Canadian punk-rock band Calling All Captains, consisting of Luc Gauthier (vocals), Connor Dawkins (guitar/vocals), Brad Bremner (guitar/vocals) and Tim Wilson (drums), released their brand new song “Blood for Blood” on November 6, 2025.

The song is the second single off of their upcoming EP “The Things That I've Lost”, which is set to be released on January 9, 2026.
The band recorded the song with longtime collaborator and producer Quinn Cyrankiewicz at The Audio Department in Edmonton, AB.
It was written by Brad Bremner, Connor Dawkins, Luc Gauthier, Quinn Cyrankiewicz, Tim Wilson, and Tom Denney.

The band said of the song, “This song is an imaginary confrontation between you and the worst version of yourself. It takes place at the end of your life, as you reconcile with your choices - both good and evil. It’s as if you’re holding onto the notion that you aren’t that type of person. Eventually, you have to come to terms with the corner of your mind called darkness. Understanding the darkness inside you can be a terrifying but freeing experience, even if it can cause internal struggle. This song represents the struggle of conflicting emotions within one soul, and how those emotions affect our choices - both good and evil.”
  • The new EP comprises 7 tracks that dig into themes of burnout, grief, and fractured identity while highlighting their most mature songwriting to date.

The band frontman Luc Gauthier said of the EP, “This is the most personal release we’ve ever put out. These songs came from a place of reflecting on everything we’ve been through, personally and as a band. It’s raw, but it’s real. And I think people will feel that.”
