  • Sean Trelford Shares New Song “Left Out” on BBC Radio 1

  • Cambridge-based singer-songwriter Sean Trelford will release his debut EP “ulcer” on December 12, 2025.

The EP comprises 5 tracks, all of which he scored, produced, and played every single instrument on, except for the string arrangement on the last track.
From the album, he shared a new song “Left Out” on BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Sian Eleri.
The song is the second single off of the EP, following “naked” released last month.
The accompanying music video was directed by Charlie & Charlie.

Sean Trelford told Sian Eleri about the song, “It does sound dull, but it is about feeling left out. But more of resentment, but in a positive with a positive ending. I'm 19, but I wrote it when I was 17. I wasn't the cool kid in school. But I found peace making music and stuff. So it's about playing your own game when you're being left out of social stuff.”
  • He continued, “I've always loved music as an outlet. I think I am quite sensitive person, like what most musicians, or indie musicians, for that matter. And those types of people have the tendency to be too scrupulous or think about unnecessary details that don't actually matter. But having that excess of energy and putting that into music is being really helpful for me.”

  • He told Rolling Stone about playing all instruments on the EP, “It's a mixture. Some of it was necessity, but also because of artists I love like Tame Impala, Mac DeMarco and even Paul McCartney in his solo project. When an artist can do all the instruments themselves, it makes a more refined product from that individual.”
