Halestorm Drops New Music Video for Cover of Bad Company's “Shooting Star” featuring Paul Rodgers

American rock band Halestorm, consisting of Lzzy Hale (vocals/rhythm guitar), Arejay Hale (drums), Joe Hottinger (lead guitar) and Josh Smith (bass), dropped a new music video for a cover of British rock band Bad Company's “Shooting Star” filmed by Kyler Clarke and edited by Rob Nielson.
The video features Bad Company frontman Paul Rodgers.
The song is featured on the tribute album to Bad Company, “Can't Get Enough: A Tribute To Bad Company”, which was released last month.
The album comprises 10 tracks, to which Halestorm, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, The Struts, Dirty Honey, Def Leppard's Joe Elliott and Phil Collen, and The Pretty Reckless contributed, covering classic hits by Bad Company.
The original version of “Shooting Star” was featured on Bad Company's sophomore album “Straight Shooter” in 1975.
It was written by Paul Rodgers. The cover version was produced by Halestorm.- Halestorm lead singer Lzzy Hale said of the song in a statement, “Joining a tribute album for Bad Company is more than covering songs; it's adding a brushstroke to a masterpiece that's been a part of our DNA for decades. We wouldn't be the Rockers we are today without these boys. Rock n' Roll with a soul wouldn't exist without Paul Rodgers. We grew up on the songs and sounds he gifted to the world, and we are honored to be on this record paying tribute to one of the greatest singers of all time.”

Paul Rodgers told Heavy Consequence, “Lzzy vocally shook and rocked 'Shooting Star' into the stratosphere. Halestorm recorded the song at their studio in Nashville, sent me the track and I recorded my vocal ad libs plus acoustic and electric guitar parts at Matt Sorum's 'Good Noise' Studio in Palm Springs. However I did meet the band recently when they played in Canada and they were so humble and respectful they touched my heart.”
