Skylar Grey Releases New Song “Nirvana”
Last month, American singer-songwriter Skylar Grey re-released the album “Angel with Tattoos” as the fifth studio album.
She was originally recording her major-label third studio album in 2019, but after leaving the label, she released the EP “Angel with Tattoos” instead, as an independent artist.
The fifth studio album comprises 10 tracks, featuring 5 songs from the EP “Angel with Tattoos” and 5 additional tracks, including the 2017 collaborative single “Glorious” with American rapper Macklemore.
Following the album, she released a new song “Nirvana” on November 21, 2025.
The song is the first single off of her upcoming sixth studio album, which is expected to be released in 2026.
It was written and produced by Skylar Grey, with production by Sage Skolfield.- Skylar Grey said of the song, This one’s for all the millennials… or anyone who didn’t realize how wonderful their childhood was until it was long gone. When I wrote this song I knew my album was done. It was the missing glue to hold all the pieces together. I wanted to drop this one first... to set the stage for the project... and right before the holiday season when nostalgia is at an all time high. I hope when you go home for Thanksgiving or Christmas, you listen to this song... and feel all the feels.”
