Lou Emery Releases New Song “House of Cards”
Los Angeles-based pop-rock singer-songwriter Lou Emery released her brand new song “House of Cards” on November 21, 2025.
The rock-forward track is driven by rhythmic piano, synths, dramatic vocals, and electric-guitar riffs, describing a complex but equally toxic entanglement.
The song follows her comeback single “The Moves”, which was released back in September as her first in two years.
It was written by Lauren Mary Kunkel and Sean William Merlin and produced by Alexander Arnaout, who added bass, electric-guitar, and acoustic-guitar touches, as with the previous song.- Lou Emery said of the song, “It's almost poetic how the jerky rhythm matches the instability of the toxic relationship described in the song. The chorus can fall apart just as easily as that house of cards. It's like both sonically and lyrically, we're standing on this precipice.”
