Tate McRae Releases New Song “NOBODY'S GIRL” from Deluxe Edition of “SO CLOSE TO WHAT”

Canadian singer-songwriter Tate McRae released the deluxe edition of her third studio album “SO CLOSE TO WHAT” titled “SO CLOSE TO WHAT??? (deluxe)” along with a new song “NOBODY'S GIRL” on November 21, 2025.
The deluxe edition comprises 21 tracks, featuring the original 16 songs (including “Siren Sounds” from a reissued edition), four new songs: “Trying On Shoes”, “Anything But Love”, “Nobody's Girl”, and “Horseshoe”, and the previously released track “Tit for Tat”.
“NOBODY'S GIRL” was written by Amy Allen, Emile Haynie, Ryan Tedder, and Tate McRae. Produced by Emile Haynie.
The accompanying music video was directed by Thibaut Grevet, and features choreography by French dance collective (LA)HORDE.
Tate McRae said of the album and video, “Was writing so much poetry while I was on tour in Europe this year& wanted to finish off this era and year with a couple more songs for you guys. This video is exactly how I envisioned these songs to feel.... Ethereal, magical, and free. These mean a lot to me and was blessed to write them with Emile Haynie, Amy Allen, Grant Boutin, Julia Michaels, Ryan Tedder.”- Tate McRae told Rolling Stone about the album title, “The idea of not being present at times, feeling like you're trying to control everything, feeling perceived by so many people, feeling like I'm 21 and the oldest I've ever felt but also so young. I kept coming across this concept of being like, 'Well, what are we working towards? What is the goal of this? Because if I keep setting these goals, and then you get to a point in your life and you're still not satisfied with yourself. When is the moment that you're satisfied?' This a never ending loop that I've created for myself.”
