  • Fast Money Music Releases New Song “Lover Boy”

  • London-based singer-songwriter Nick Hinman, aka Fast Money Music released a new song “Lover Boy” on November 20, 2025.

The song is the third single off of his upcoming self-titled debut album, following “Crocodile Tears” and “Round and Round”.
The debut album is set to be released in the spring of 2026.
It was written and produced by Nick Hinman, with production by Mikko Gordon. He recorded it between Hackney Road Studios and Fast Money Music’s own space in Dalston.
The track features Jamie Reynolds on bass, John Waugh on saxophone and Steffan Halperin on drums.

Nick Hinman said of the song, “It’s controlled chaos, the intersection of passion and lust, caught between impulse and restraint. There’s tragic humor in the idea of being a ‘lover boy,’ alongside the serious weight of wanting love and security. For me, it’s just that: a sonic explosion of that internal struggle, and the uncertainty of what happens if you wait too long.”
  • The accompanying music video was filmed in San Francisco and London.
Nick Hinman told Hero Magazine about the video, “Lover Boy has this urgent, driving rhythm, and I had this image of you as a sort of modern femme fatale. We had access to the same car from the Hot Melt Glue music video, and San Francisco means a lot to me since I grew up there, so putting you in the middle of that landscape felt right. At first there wasn’t a strict narrative. It was more about mood and movement. Then right when we got back in London, I was standing next to my friend Jamie when we were at Wide Awake Festival and realised that he had a tattoo that said 'Loverboy' on his neck. It caught me so off guard, but I was able to get a quick clip of him in the studio. That shot ended up being the irregular heartbeat of the video.”

  • He continued, “We sat on that footage for a while, and then a couple of weeks ago I realised I wanted a performance layer too. So we filmed in our bathroom, very DIY, and I used blend modes to overlay different performances, including you wearing the same sunglasses from the original shoot.”
