  • Skinny Lister Drops New Music Video for “Tumbling Into Something”

  • British folk-rock band Skinny Lister, consisting of Dan Heptinstall (lead vocal), Max Thomas (melodeon/mandolin), Lorna Thomas (ukulele), Scott Milsom (bass) and Tim Hillsdon (drums), has dropped a new music video for “Tumbling Into Something” directed by The Film Smith.

The song is featured on their seventh studio album “Songs From The Yonder”, which was released back in May. The album is their first body of work in two years and comprises 11 tracks, with its core songs recorded live.
It was written and produced by Daniel Heptinstall.

The band lead singer Dan Heptinstall said of the song, “I always feel Lorna's voice shines on our ballad style tracks, and this track lends itself particularly well to her voice. It's an optimistic song about tumbling fearlessly forward into life while acknowledging its beauty. It's about surrendering to the uncertainties of life, and embracing the excitement of the ride. It's also about new beginnings and second chances.”
  • He added, “The drums are played with bare hands rather than sticks, and the accordion in this case is used more to add mood than melody, played almost like a synth pad – it leans towards something that sounds a little more 'Vangelis' than traditional folk.”
