Art School Girlfriend Announces New Album “Lean In”, Shares New Song “The Peaks”
London-based music producer Polly Mackey, aka Art School Girlfriend has announced her upcoming third studio album “Lean In” will be released on March 11, 2026 via Fiction Records.
This marks her first album in three years since the 2023 album “Soft Landing”.
The album comprises 10 tracks, which she recorded and self-produced in her own East London studio.
On the album, she blends alternative rock, electronic pop and experimental ambient sounds.
From the album, Art School Girlfriend released a new song “The Peaks” on November 19, 2025.
The song is the second single off, following “L.Y.A.T.T.” released back in September.
It was written and produced by Art School Girlfriend. The accompanying music video was directed by Zak Watson.- Art School Girlfriend said of the album, “Last year, I decided that I would stop releasing music altogether. I continued going to my studio and making music purely for the way it allows my brain access a different plane and way of being; for the process over the outcome. That decision unlocked a period of intense creativity like I've never experienced before; I got obsessed and very existential. This is the sound of me going deeper, being filled with questions I don't have the answer to, but maybe figuring out what the point of life is - afforded by a studio of one's own and those around me.”
