Labrinth Announces New Album “COSMIC OPERA ACT I”, Shares New Song “IMPLOSION”

British singer-songwriter Labrinth has announced his fourth studio album “COSMIC OPERA ACT I” will be released on January 30, 2026 via Columbia Records.
The album is his first project in two years since the 2023 album “Ends & Begins”. Also, it follows the 2025 EP “Prelude” released back in September.
The album comprises 12 tracks, produced by Labrinth.
Labrinth said, “They say, In order to heal, you gotta sit with that internal chaos. You gotta suffer your demons. Speak on it, verbalize it too. For me that internal dance, it’s something like an opera.”
From the album, he released a new song “IMPLOSION” on November 19, 2025.
The song is the third single off, following “S.W.M.F.” and “Orchestra”.
It was written by Labrinth and Nula Zemar-McKenzie. Produced by Labrinth.- Labrinth said of the song, “This record is an attempt specifically from an artist perspective to explore mental illness while navigating a career in the entertainment industry. The paranoia, the confirmation of threats, the desperate and unfulfilling pursuit of success.”
He continued, “I’ve been wanting to create this for a long time... I hope that it will heal me in my pursuit of letting go of what no longer serves me. Some of the words sound like I’m ready to end it all... but in actual fact it’s a celebration of freeing my soul by confronting my grief.” -
