  • Danny L Harle Announces New Album “Cerulean”, Premieres New Song “Crystallise My Tears” featuring Oklou & MNEK on BBC Radio 1

  • London-based music producer Danny L Harle has announced his upcoming album “Cerulean” will be released on February 13, 2026.

This marks his first album in four years since the 2021 album “Harlecore”.
From the album, he premiered a new song “Crystallise My Tears” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
On the track, he teamed up with French music producer Oklou and British singer-songwriter MNEK.
The song is the third single off of the album, following “Starlight” featuring PinkPantheress and “Azimuth” featuring Caroline Polachek.
It was written by Danny L Harle, MNEK, and Nate Campany. Produced by Danny L Harle and Cameron Gower Poole.

Danny L Harle said of the song, “I already knew Oklou from our frequent collaboration. I simply sent the song over to her; she nailed the vocal and sent it back. We didn’t have to share many words as we love very similar things about music. She has a particular ability to convey emotion through tone, and I really feel it in this one, there is a surreal alien beauty to her delivery.”

He continued, “I knew Uzo (MNEK) as well; I am honoured to have the king of UK house grace the most house-adjacent track on my album with such a soaring and emotional vocal.”
  • Danny L Harle told Jack Saunders about the song, “I really like sad dance music. It's sort of my favorite emotion is one that I call melancholic euphoria. And I feel like this song is a real ambassador for that feeling, and I hope it communicates.”

The album comprises 13 track, featuring guest appearances from PinkPantheress, Caroline Polachek, Clairo, Julia Michaels, kacha, Oklou, MNEK, and Caroline Polachek.

He said of the album, “I was realizing sort of who I was through, like these people sort of inspiring different parts of me. It was an extraordinary experience, really. And then they all wanted to get back in the studio with me to write my music with me, which was a tremendous honor, really. Like with some of the features on this, on this album. It's like, quite an extraordinary thing.”

  • He continued, “We've already heard PinkPantheress, Caroline Polachek. We've got Oklou and MNEK also got names such as Clairo as well as on there. Julia Michaels is on there. It's like, quite an incredible list of like, some of the greatest voices in the world. And that's what really attracts me to vocalists, to work for them on their project, or for them to work on my songs, is just this, the way they deliver the emotion through the voice. I've had to turn down working with enormous names, because I just hear the voice, and I can't hear where what I would do with I have no vision for it. But with these people, it's like, it's just that there's something I want to hear. I sort of get into a frenzy about like, how exciting their sort of voices can make me feel. It's an extraordinary thing.”

He added, “It was my chance to bring together all of my influences. Like I was classically trained composer. But I was also very drawn to dance music, but a specific kind of sad tradition of dance music, like the sort of 90s dance anthems I really liked, and sort of lot of Italian music as well, Italo dance music and lots of Hardcore Rave music. And took me a while to understand how to bring them all together into one project. And I'm very happy to say I've managed to do it. And I wouldn't even need to say that if you listen to it, you could just hear it.”
