  • KNEECAP Premieres New Song “No Comment” featuring Sub Focus on BBC Radio 1

  • Irish hip hop trio KNEECAP, consisting of Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap and DJ Próvaí, premiered a new song “No Comment” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.

On the track, the trio teamed up with British DJ Sub Focus.
The song addresses the terrorism charges against member Mo Chara which were thrown out in UK court in September.
Mo Chara was accused of displaying a Hezbollah flag at Kneecap concert in London in November 2024.
Also, the trio sparked controversy for their criticism of Israel and the war in Gaza at Coachella in April 2025.
The track was written by Cameron Louis Warren, KNEECAP, Liam Óg Ó Hannaidh, NAOISE IARLA Ó CAIREALLÁIN, and Nicolaas Douwma. Produced by Cameron Louis Warren and Nicolaas Douwma.
The single artwork uses Banksy’s Royal Courts of Justice mural.

The trio said of the song, “'No Comment' is all about getting harassed by the British State. Simple as. Us Irish are well used to it, been happening for centuries. Was a pleasure to work with Sub Focus on this, the man is a legend.”
  • The trio told Jack Saunders about the song, “I think maybe like the loudness and the intensity and the aggression of drawing bass definitely suits what we're doing. So we're lucky that Mosey and Sub Focus came our way with him tracks, and we worked together on them. But I think what I mean has happened in the KNEECAP last year, exactly.”

They continued, “Starting off like at Coachella. I suppose now where being kicked off. And until now, always been a crazy experience. And it hasn't just happened to us. It happened to, like a lot of other bands, we've been under a lot of pressure in the last year. But I mean, there's been a lot of support like, Massive Attack and Fontaines D.C. have kind of support us and support each other, so there's been a lot of solidarity. So it's been whatever year we've had is a fraction of what's been going on Palestine, so we're just happy to still have this opportunity to make music and talk about what we thought about.”

  • They said of Banksy, “Maybe we spoke to him, but we didn't know if it was him or not, because I don't know what it looks like. But I think, like he let us use the art piece and the courts for our single I think it's a big honor for us. Especially with the art he does and the work he does the past and raising awareness for different causes all around the world and struggles. So it means a lot to us that he's let us use this for the single cover of 'No Comment'.”
