Summer Walker Premieres New Song “FMT” on BBC Radio 1

American singer-songwriter Summer Walker premiered a new song “FMT” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is featured her third studio album “Finally Over It”, which was released on November 14, 2025.
The album concludes a trilogy that began with the 2019 debut album “Over It” and continued with the 2021 sophomore album “Still Over It”.
The track was written by Summer Walker, Lee Stashenko, and Stavros Tsarouhas. Produced by f a l l e n.
The accompanying music video was directed by Child. On the clip, an older woman says, “This water remembers your first cry, your first breath, and it knows the weight of my arms when they first held you, and now it learns to let you go.”
Summer Walker told Jack Saunders about the song, “It's just about being done with my normal type, trying something different and choosing who chooses me. Because they're trashed. I just have a lot of strong boundaries now. Have a checklist, and we're not letting anything slide. It's a strip strict program.”- The album comprises 18 tracks, featuring guest appearances from Mariah the Scientist, Latto, Doja Cat, Chris Brown, Anderson .Paak, Bryson Tiller, Sailorr, GloRilla, Sexyy Red, Monaleo, 21 Savage, Brent Faiyaz and Teddy Swims. The physical version of the album includes a feature from Foggieraw.
The album consists of two parts, “For Better” and “For Worse”, which mirror the album art's wedding theme. - Summer Walker said of the album, “This trilogy is the story of my life and Finally Over It means so much because it shows the woman I've grown into. For Better or For Worse this chapter is complete. I'm proud of myself. I'm grateful for y'all. And I'm finally over it.”
