Disclosure & Faithless Team Up for New Edit of “Insomnia”

British electronic music duo Disclosure, consisting of Guy Lawrence and Howard Lawrence, released a new edit of British dance music band Faithless' “Insomnia” titled “Insomnia (Disclosure's 2025 Edit)” on November 14, 2025 via Sony Music.
The original version of the song was released by Faithless in 1995.
To mark the original cut's 30th anniversary, the duo first performed a live version of the song during their 2025 Glastonbury set.
What began as a one-off live edit soon evolved into a full collaboration, after Faithless' Sister Bliss reached out to the duo to make the release official.
The track was written by Ayalah Bentovim, Maxi Jazz, and Rollo Armstrong. Produced by Rollo Armstrong and Sister Bliss.- Disclosure said of the song, “Last year for our live show at Glastonbury, we made a live version of one of the greatest electronic music songs of all time - Insomnia by the legendary band Faithless. We've not really done many covers before so it was a lot of fun to put together & play with live drums & acid bass. Faithless were & still are one of our all time biggest inspirations in the dance music world, especially for putting on a great live show with real instruments, incredible lighting & unforgettable vocals by the late great Maxi Jazz, may he rest in peace.”
They continued, “To our delight Sister Bliss - the founder of the band who wrote the ICONIC keyboard line in the original song - reached out to us & suggested we put out the version we made as a collaboration for all our fans to enjoy. We couldn't be more honoured to be asked & never thought reworking this track would lead to such a special moment for us. Nothing will ever beat the original.. ever!.. but we had a blast making this for our show & we hope you all enjoy listening to it. If you were in the crowd last year for the show.. this one's for you.” -
Sister Bliss said, “We are so excited to present Disclosure's 2025 edit of Insomnia. It's a great and funky tribute to Maxi & our beloved UK dance music scene, and a totally unexpected moment in their Glastonbury set that really touched us deeply. It's a privilege to see our influence on the next generation of artists - Maxi would be very proud to see how much this song is still being enjoyed”. - source : Apple Music
