Olivia Dean Performs “Man I Need” & “Let Alone The One You Love” on Saturday Night Live

London-based singer-songwriter Olivia Dean appeared on Saturday Night Live to perform “Man I Need” and “Let Alone The One You Love”.
This marks her debut on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest.
Both songs were featured on her sophomore album “The Art of Loving”, which was released on September 26, 2025.
The album reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 6 on the US Billboard 200.
Following the success of the album, Olivia Dean was nominated for Best New Artist at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.
“Man I Need” was released as the third single from the second album, and reached No. 1 on the Singles Chart and No. 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
It became her first chart entry in the United States, but is the fifth most played song in the world on Spotify in 2025.
Olivia Dean said of the song, “'Man I Need' is a song about knowing how you deserve to be loved and not being afraid to ask for it. It's forward, sexy, fun! It's made for dancing!”- “Let Alone The One You Love” was written by Olivia Dean, Bastian Langebæk, Deschanel Gordon, and Max Wolfgang. Produced by Zach Nahome, John Ryan, Julian Bunetta, and Matt Zara.
She said of the song, “I am very lucky that my mom and my auntie are very strong, independent women. My mom worked with the Women's Equality Party, which is a political party in the U.K. So, it just would be impossible for me to not be a really strong feminist. And I think I forget sometimes, I suppose when you live in a bit of an echo chamber, maybe, that not everybody feels that way. So, I feel it's important for me to drum that message home, and this song, I'm really proud of. I think often as women we always think about what we could be for somebody else and how we could kind of slot into their lives and make it better, and [we] forget to think about what that person's bringing to us. Because we're fabulous.” - source : NBC
