Alpine Skies Releases New Song “Blockks”
Dublin-based alt-rock band Alpine Skies, consisting of Kevin Homan (vocals/guitar) and Darren Farrell (guitar), released the third single called “Blockks” on November 14, 2025, following “Walls” and “By Your Side”.
Three songs will appear on their upcoming debut album “Inspired Conflicts”, which is expected to be releases in early 2026.
The band recorded the song at Little Bear Studios in Dublin. It was written and produced by Alpine Skies.
The track features Gavin Fox on bass and Paul 'Binzer' Brennan on drums.
Alpine Skies said of the song, “While working on another track the song's main guitar hook just presented itself, with those infectious, lingering notes evoking growth and progress through each phrasing. Simply put, it is a reflection of life, both musically and lyrically, for the band”- They continued, “The song grows with that life from the outset. The constant piano note as the heartbeat of the song. The delicate guitar line-both alluring and threatening in its approach. These elements reflect the trepidation of life, and lead us to a bubbling, unsettling, sub-bass line that underpins the song, and reflects adversity and that feeling of being at odds with the modern world. The increasing intensity of the drumming, and the lyrical angst with this modern world, reflect on overcoming adversity and challenges in life. That development of your inner voice-providing a backbone, and enabling one to find clarity and purpose-the drenching of guitars are that purpose realised”

They added, “The song breathes life and reflects a procession of growth. The constant piano note providing the heartbeat to the song. An arpeggio and sub-bass that rumble and allure, before an incessant drum pounds to a climatic wash of guitar. It flows like the awakening of a mind!”
