Quarters Releases Two New Songs “STAR” & “PLUMMET”

New York-based rock band Quarters (formerly Quarters of Change), consisting of Ben Roter (vocals/guitar), Jasper Harris (guitar/bass/synths) and Attila Anrather (drums), released two new songs “STAR” & “PLUMMET” on November 14, 2025.
Two songs will appear on their upcoming third studio album, which is set to be released in March 2026.
The new album is their first body of work in two years since the 2024 album “Portraits”.
Two songs mark a stark departure from their indie rock roots, entrenching the trio as a full-scale rock act.
“PLUMMET” captures the turbulence of an ego in free-fall. As a counterpart, “STAR” paints the softer elements of their new sound.
Anchored by a synced rhythm section and driven by a palette rich with reverb, “STAR” stands out as a sonic statement.
“STAR” was written by Attila Anrather, Ben Roter, Imad Royal, and Jasper Gee Harris. Produced by Jasper Gee Harris and Imad Royal.
“PLUMMET” was written by Attila Anrather, Ben Acker, Ben Roter, Jasper Gee Harris, and Taylor Morris. Produced by Jasper Gee Harris.
The accompanying music video was directed by Theodore Sielatycki and Oliver J Frisby.- The band said of the video, “Creating the 'STAR' video was like trying to capture a fleeting fever dream moments after waking up. The process moved us between dreamlike sequences and realities - all set to a cold late night stage you might find while surfing tv channels.”
They continued, “Avantika understood the vision of 'STAR' immediately. Her character is equal parts striking and ominous, trying to make sense of the performance she's witnessing, and why it carries such a gravity. There's an electrifying charge whenever we share a creative space with Avantika- we have two distinct energies that somehow sharpen the same image.” -
The band said of the album, “When we sat down to make this record, two years had passed, and the foundation of our band was being tested. We traveled the world, revisited old ideas, and thoughtfully repurposed them. What we ended up with was the bones of what came before, but the shine of something brand new.”
They continued, “And we did it all alongside the history of Vienna, the lakes of South Carolina, and the push and pull of New York and LA. We're putting everything on the line to be the band we've always wanted to be. For the first time ever, there are no distractions. We have complete trust in ourselves." - source : Apple Music
