MAX & Andy Grammer Team Up for New Song “The Thing I Love”
American singer-songwriter MAX joined forces with American singer-songwriter Andy Grammer to release a new song “The Thing I Love” on November. 14, 2025.
This marks the first collaboration between MAX and Andy Grammer.
The song is a tender and uplifting pop anthem celebrating the people who bring out the best in us. The track showcases both artists' dynamic vocals, blending finger-picked acoustic guitars, tambourines, piano, and lush harmonies into a sound that's both intimate and uplifting.
It was written by Jake Torrey, MAX, and Johnny Simpson, who also produced the track.
MAX said of the song, “The Thing I Love is a really special song for me. There're so many people in my life personally who bring out the best in me and make me better. This song is dedicated to them. Having Andy Grammer, a longtime friend and incredible artist is such an honor and privilege.”
Andy Grammer added, “I've always admired MAX's artistry and creative spirit, so having the opportunity to collaborate on this song was truly a joy. It's such an upbeat song, and we had such a fun time bringing this one to life.”- The accompanying music video was directed by Miles Murphy and filmed around the world, including in Japan, Mexico, Los Angeles, and more.
MAX said of the video, “Been filming the video for 'The Thing I Love' around the world for almost a year and a half in Japan, Mexico, Los Angeles, etc. This song has been always just felt infectious and fun since we first wrote it and I'm so happy that Andy Grammer joined and added his beautiful spirit and artistry to the chemistry of the record.
